Falken has introduced a new EUROALL SEASON AS220 all-season tyre, the first to wear its VARIO CORE label. Built for compact, mid-size and SUV cars, the AS220s have been engineered to give drivers year-round confidence, with the new technical VARIO CORE seal of approval.
VARIO CORE is the next step in Falken’s tyre development and combines the latest technologies for petrol and diesel vehicles, as well as battery electric, plug-in hybrid and hybrid vehicles, into one technical seal of quality. Falken’s latest innovations are united under a single concept, including developments such as lightweight construction, tread design, materials technology and aerodynamics. The new AS220 with VARIO CORE ‘Essence’ features lightweight construction techniques, Chaotic Array tread patterns with a round sidewall profile and optimised contact patch, plus energy-efficient and wear-resistant polymers.
At the heart of the new AS220 is a Chaotic Array tread pattern engineered to inspire confidence in changing conditions. Hydro Grooves evacuate water effectively, reducing the risk of aquaplaning and offering greater stability and shorter stopping distances in wet weather. In snowy conditions, the tyre’s Snow Compaction Grooves trap snow between the tread blocks to create extra biting edges, helping the tyre generate grip where it is needed most. A Chamfered Block Design is designed to improve handling by distributing forces more evenly across the tread surface for predictable braking and control, even during demanding manoeuvres.
The sidewall of the new AS220 has also been carefully profiled for aerodynamic efficiency, contributing to stability at speed while lending the tyre a clean, contemporary appearance. The temperature-stabilised compound is designed to deliver performance that remains consistent in both summer heat and winter cold. The new EUROALL SEASON AS220 is available in 65 sizes, from 15 to 20 inches. EU Tyre Label Class performance categorises the tyre B-C for rolling resistance, B for wet grip and A-B for rolling noise with a decibel reading of 69-71, depending on size.

After finishing second overall the day before, FALKEN Motorsports moved up one more position: On Sunday, Tim Heinemann and Morris Schuring won the 66th ADAC ACAS Cup, the ninth round of the 2026 ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). The duo had already secured pole position that morning in their teal-and-blue No. 44 Porsche 911 GT3 R and then left nothing to chance in the four-hour race. Adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain at times, created extremely difficult conditions and led to numerous accidents on the legendary Nordschleife.
