Tomohiko Masuta appointed managing director of Falken and Sumitomo Rubber Europe
Tomohiko Masuta has assumed the position of managing director of both Falken Tyre Europe GmbH and Sumitomo Rubber Europe GmbH.
For the tenth time in succession, Falken is launching its “Falken says tanks” sales promotion campaign in Germany and Austria as well as other core European markets of the tyres brand. From 15th September until 30th November 2020, customers in participating stores will receive a prepaid card for refuelling and shopping if they buy Falken winter- or all-season tyres.
In addition to their 20 Euro Shell fuel voucher, participants in Germany will also have the chance to win one of 25 Shell fuel vouchers worth 100 Euros, along with 100 opportunities to win the Shell V-Power SmartDeal with a value of 119.99 Euros. In this way, the winners can fill up with V-Power fuel for the price of standard fuels at participating Shell garages. In addition to this, Falken will be holding a prize draw for 17 pairs of ski boots from Italian maker Dalbello in the Benelux countries, Germany, Austria and Poland. Along similar lines as the Falken winter tyres, Dalbello ski boots feature what is known as a “GripWalk”, or a co-polymer sole which provides the boots with a solid grip in the snow and therefore a high degree of walking comfort.
“We have now been providing support to our customers with our ‘Falken says tanks’ sales campaign for ten years. We are pleased with its ever-increasing popularity each year. We have now expanded the services that we offer our customers, however. Since 1st September, in addition to the standard warranty, we have been offering a 5-year warranty on our complete range of products. This service is setting new standards in the sector, and demonstrates that we have a lot of confidence in the quality of our products,” says Markus Bögner, COO and President of Falken Tyre Europe, discussing the campaign. “Combined with our warranty pledge, we are certain that the campaign will be a great success at retailers.”
The promotion has been launched at retailers, at points of sale, and with strong coverage in the online and TV settings.
In addition to the above countries, and along with Bulgaria, France, Romania and Slovenia, this season the promotion will also take place in Finland for the first time, where the new WINTERPAK F-ICE spiked winter tyre will be available as part of the promotion. The vouchers will apply to purchases of a set of Falken winter- or all-season tyres in the EUROWINTER HS01, EUROWINTER HS01 SUV, EUROALL SEASON AS200, EUROALL SEASON AS210, EUROWINTER VAN01, EUROALL SEASON VAN11 and WILDPEAK AT3WA ranges, each starting from 16 inches.
