Tomohiko Masuta appointed managing director of Falken and Sumitomo Rubber Europe
Tomohiko Masuta has assumed the position of managing director of both Falken Tyre Europe GmbH and Sumitomo Rubber Europe GmbH.
With large in-person Christmas gatherings not possible this year, Falken Tyre Europe has planned a special surprise for its European employees.
Falken has enlisted the support of celebrity chef Mirko Reeh to help prepare a cook-along Christmas meal. Falken employees across Europe are being gifted hampers with the required ingredients to cook a delicious dinner for four people, and are being guided through the cooking process by the talented German chef. But Mirko Reeh is not the only one preparing the banquet: Falken’s Markus Bögner is at his side as sous-chef.
“This year has been a challenging one and we wanted to give our fantastic employees a special Christmas thank you, even though we cannot do that in person,” says Markus Bögner, COO and president of Falken Tyre Europe. “Mirko Reeh is a fantastic and well-known chef, and we hope that having him virtually in all our kitchens will bring some joy and very tasty Christmas treats to all Falken employees.”
A video of the duo cooking and giving helpful advice is available for employees to follow as they cook-along themselves in their own kitchens. Falken’s employees from across Europe will be getting together virtually in groups throughout December to cook along and enjoy the meals together
Originating from Hesse, Germany, Reeh is a regular on TV and radio, making appearances on German shows such as Koch Undercover and Weltenbummler on Sat1. He has his own successful talk and cooking show, Reehderei, where he cooks with well-known celebrity guests. Additionally, he is a best-selling author having written 36 cookbooks over the last ten years, with Handkäse Deluxe 1 & 2 amongst the top ten in all German bestseller lists.
